So how do I confirm I don’t have cancer?

I thought I would share with you an email from a client and my response. This is a young mother of 3 children who found an overgrowth of h pylori and other unwanted bacteria and pathogens in her comprehensive stool test. She was asymptomatic but had some dramatic findings. This is what we call hidden stressors. Uncovering hidden stressors is a major important part of the personalized prevention plan that I offer my clients.

Q So how do I confirm I don’t have cancer? A. You could have an endoscopy with a biopsy of any suspicious tissue. Please know that cancer is a preventable disease that requires major lifestyle changes. See this paper from the US National Institutes of Health National Library of Medicine. I am passionate about prevention and that is what we are doing here. We taking steps to prevent cancer. Cancer often takes years or decades to develop. We all have cancer cells in our bodies, just as there are weeds in a garden. A healthy immune system will attack the cancer cells. Just like healthy plants can crowd out the weeds. A healthy environment can nourish and feed healthy cells. Soil that is stripped of vital nutrients will grow more weeds. Soil that is fed compost will have healthier and more nutritious plants. Our microbiome is the soil for our bodies to grow. It's where our b and K vitamins are made. It's where cholesterol is modulated. It's where we make our feel-good hormones like serotonin and dopamine for focus. It's where melatonin is made for a healthy gut as well as for sleep. If you have food sensitivities or dysbiosis in the gastrointestinal tract, you may likely suffer from anxiety, depression and/or insomnia.   Doing a comprehensive stool test like the GI Map uncovers these imbalances in your microbiome and gives you a healing opportunity. This will prevent the ulcer and ensure that cancer cells do not develop and overtake your stomach in the future.
Constipation is also a risk factor that has to be addressed. We need to get you moving smoothly and easily every day. Ideally, twice a day.  Otherwise toxins can recirculate in the body creating inflammation and oxidative stress. This can lead to DNA damage which eventually may lead to cells losing their ability to die off and mutate to cancer cells for survival. My goal for you is to lower stress. This includes hidden internal stressors that we've identified with the food sensitivity and stool tests, and external stressors that may be interfering with your ability to let go and release. We have to get out of the "no pain, no gain mentality".  Sometimes we need to exercise less and sleep more. Sometimes we need to eat more nourishing fats (fat does NOT make you fat) and do less work. The body follows the mind. If you are constantly stressed or worried, your body will not relax enough to let go of fat or bowel movements.
This is why I do what I do. My goal is to provide personalized prevention programs to remove fear. Fear is the cancer. The body follows the mind. So have no fear!  Rest assured that we are identifying stressors so they do not turn into cancer. A comprehensive stool test is not standard conventional medical care, not even for many Gastroenterologists. Standard care would be endoscopy, biopsies and antibiotics without attention to diet, lifestyle or possible root causes, or often without even rebalancing the microbiome. How many antibiotics have you taken in your life without having a comprehensive stool test done or probiotics recommended? This is a shame and could possibly prevent the development of future cancers.
Rest assured, what you are doing is preventative. Thank yourself and celebrate that you are investing the time and money to ensure you are around to see your children and grandchildren grow and flourish. This is an act of love for you, your family and the businesses that you serve.
It's an honor to support you. Lisa
I used to work for large corporations where I was given executive physicals. It's funny to me how they uncovered the fact that I was color blind (not sure why that was valuable) but never uncovered the root cause of my hypertension or autoimmune disease. It wasn't until I studied functional diagnostic nutrition and functional medicine that I was able to use fundamental principles of health to heal from within, and ultimately reverse my symptoms and eliminate the need for medication.

Contact me if you are interested in your own personalized prevention plan or in creating a culture of wellness within your company.

Carpe Diem,

Lisa
